New January Sales Event - Legacy Skins Back and Half Off? Get Your Wallets ready.

Had to pass this on to you guys, which of these are you really excited about?

The results for the Player Choice January Sales Event are in and the winners are temporarily bring back some retired legacy skins at 50% and a super skin sale featuring skins that have never been on sale yet! Here is Hippalus's report on the results:

"The results of the poll are in and the result is a virtual dead heat between option #4 and #6, each with approximately 15.5K votes across the 4 regions that participated (NA, EUW, EUNE and BR). The combined vote tally is:
•1,522 - 50% off boosts
•5,076 - 50% off rune pages
•5,249 - RP purchases get extra bonus RP (similar to September)
•15,476 - 50% off skin super sale (10+ skins, including some never before on sale)
•11,679 - 75% off skin retirement (retiring several older skins to the legacy vault)
•15,487 - 50% off legacy skins (bringing back some retired skins not currently in the store)
Therefore our plan is as follows:
1) On January 11, the regular Friday sale will be replaced by a Skin Super Sale which will include some skins never before on sale (not Legendaries or other ineligible skins). As usual, three champions will also be on sale.
2) At some point between now and the end of January, the 42 Legacy skins below will come back into the store for a limited time at 50% off their regular price:

There was also a lot of interest in a skin retirement sale so we will pursue that a little later in 2013. The rune page sale and extra bonus RP promotions were well received in 2012 and will likely make comebacks later in 2013 as well. Boost sales, however, will go back into the idea dustbin

You may have noticed some Legendary skins on that list and, according to Hippalus, that is no fluke!

"That's the plan. They were retired because they were not up to the quality standards of newer Legendary skins, and like all retired Legacy skins, they are eligible to go on sale at a price that better reflects the current quality standards. Those who bought them at full price owned them for months or years longer than those who will have the opportunity to buy them on sale, and therefore got more value out of them.

As always, Legendaries that are currently active in the store will not go on sale."
For those who might be unclear, Legacy skins were once available like normal skins but have since been retired and are not normally available in the store. This return to the shop could be your only chance to pick them up for a long, long while! Most of these skins have been retired and unavailable for more than a year now, if that is any indication of how often they come back into rotation.

My personal opinion would be to stock up on a few of the skins for your favorite "ugly" champions, as they might get a model update soon and you'd surely want to have that freshly updated skin when that happens!. For example, Leopard Nidalee is on that list and her model update is coming out any day now, it'll be like paying half price for a brand new skin!

Which of these are you guys excited about?

So I figured I would list a couple of those I am interested in!

Both Shen skins, scorpion and sub zero from mortal kombat, and maybe the crimson akali, and maybe safari caitlyn. Alot of them since I'm a relatively new player... since May I haven't seen before even though I've played about 750 games. So I'll have to youtube them and see what a lot of them look like.

OMG OMG OMG!

I already have some of these, but I'm actually interested in getting Pharaoh Amumu, Scuba Gragas, Shamrock Malphite, Angler Jax and Badger Teemo.
Maybe I'll pick up Leopard Nidalee and Feral Warwick as well.

All these skins were actually available when I started playing LoL, but then I didn't know so much about the game and didn't feel like buying any RP. But now as this is probably my favorite game.. it's just so cool that these old-school skins are coming back to purchase

Yep, on the skins note I picked up the new Nocturne skin... and he is totally Megatron it's so epic!

Looking forward to this as well, I like to be different when playing the game and skins are definitely just one way to do that.
